Family Fun Bowling Fundraiser
Come and join the staff and board of Disability Network Oakland &Macomb at 12:30 on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Friendly Sterling Bowling Lanes as we share in an afternoon of bowling fun. Tickets are $15.00 per person and include 2 games of bowling, shoe rental, 2 slices of pizza, and a pop. There will be a full services cash bar, great items for raffle as well as a 50/50 raffle. The bowling alley is wheelchair accessible and bumper lanes are available. Please see the attached flyer for more information and registration form. Hope to see you all there!!!


A Night Of Laughs - Our annual comedy night at Mark Ridley's will be Thursday, May 13, 2010. John Mulaney will be the headliner. He appears weekly on VH1's Best Week Ever and has performed on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Comedy Central's Live at Gotham. Ticket prices will be $15. Medicare Part B Beneficiaries:
The Medicare Savings Program can help you pay the Medicare Part B premium. Contact Miriam Sims, DNOM’sInformation & Assistance Specialist and Certified MMAP Counselor for more information.



Medicare Part D Beneficiaries:
Do you have Medicare Part D prescription coverage? Are you in need of extra help in covering your prescription costs? Come in and speak to Miriam Sims, to see if you are eligible for Medicare Extra Help for Drug Coverage. She can help you apply.

Beginning January – May, these services will be held every Friday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. excluding Good Friday.

Mobile Outreach could be in your area.
Each month we will host office hours in local community offices and/or libraries to provide information and referral to people who are unable to make it to our Clinton Township Office.

Disability Network Oakland & Macomb presents ‘Common Thread’ A support group for all people with disabilities meeting the second Wednesday of each month from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Plus a separate support group for caregivers meeting the fourth Wednesday of each month from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Please see the attached flyer for more information.


Save the Date.
Our annual fundraiser and silent auction will be held on Thursday August 5, 2009. This year we will be featuring comedian Lynne Koplitz. Lynne is a nationally known comedienne who lives in New York City, has been on NBC, Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and her own Comedy Central special. She has also appeared in various TV commercials, two seasons with Joan Rivers in IFC's "Z-Rock" and was a host on "Change of Heart".
