Mission Statement
We are committed to advancing personal choice, independence, and positive social change for persons with disabilities through advocacy, education, and outreach.

DNOM
Disability Network Oakland & Macomb is a private non-profit, non-residential organization run for and by people with disabilities.

DNOM serves all people with disabilities and their families. As well as schools, businesses, human service organizations, health agencies and a variety of community resources.

Independent Living Philosophy
Independent living is about having choices and about having the right to make those choices, to make one's own mistakes, and to learn from them in the same way that people without disabilities can. People with disabilities must be empowered to take control over their own lives.
